Privacy policy

What personal data we collect when you book or write to us, why we need it and how to control it.

Data controller

Data we collect and why

  • Booking requests: name, email, date, time, party size and whatever you add in the message. We use them to confirm, change or cancel your table.
  • Emails and phone calls: your contact details and the content of your message, to answer you.
  • Browsing: our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure.

If you tell us about allergies or intolerances, we use that information only to prepare your visit. Share it only if you want us to take it into account.

We do not use analytics or advertising tools, we do not build profiles and we do not send marketing emails.

Legal basis

We process booking data to take steps at your request before and during the service you ask for (Article 6.1.b GDPR). We answer other enquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (Article 6.1.f), and deliver the site securely on the same basis. Health information you choose to give us is processed with your explicit consent (Article 9.2.a), which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and enquiry data for as long as it takes to handle your request and, afterwards, only for the period in which legal claims could arise from it. After that it is deleted.

Who receives your data

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes. It is only accessed by providers that work for us under a data processing agreement:

  • Vercel Inc., which hosts this website.
  • Google Ireland Ltd., which provides our email account.

International transfers

These providers may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards set out in the GDPR: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to rectify or erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to tandemexperience.girona@gmail.com telling us which right you want to exercise. We will reply within one month.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.

Cookies and third-party content

This website does not set its own cookies. The map on the contact page is provided by Google and only loads if you ask for it. The details are in our cookie policy.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date below.
